Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is best known for the films Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. In the late 80s the actress began her acting career, and was famous for her role as Tezaab, in which she starred with veteran actor Anil Kapooor. In the following film, she was a part of Aamir as part of Dil. In Mumbai the city she was born in a family of middle-class parents. When she was a young age, she began to learn dance. As a young woman began acting, but had a difficult time as a majority of her movies were unsuccessful. In the end, she was one of the top actresses from Indian film. After marriage, she experienced a break in her career before re-entering the business. More recently she played in a crucial character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women in India. Dixit was nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Dixit was also awarded her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Social work by her is popular.
