Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco singer and pop artist. From the time she was a teenager, Rosalia has delved into the dark side of pop and traditional music. Her voice has been called by no less of a talent than Flamenco guitar player Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp and with a bite that is similar to older versions. El Mal Querer was her significant commercial breakthrough and critical success in 2018. The single Los Angeles garnered her attention and a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist It also topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums and she was awarded the Grammy. In 2021, her single La Fama with The Weeknd came out. Motomami is her third album, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. This set was released the month of March 2022, following the Saturday Night Live performance featuring the hit song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia is the very first Spanish artist to sing solo on the program. Motomami's Rosalia, who won an award for the Latin Album of the Year as well as three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami was also the first woman in history to be awarded this award.
